After almost a year of preparation, Hi-Tech Metal Finishing has completed a large scale move into its new home located at 3100 Jim Christal Rd., Denton, Texas.
Ninety-Five percent of the move was completed over the course of 3 days. Until close of business on Thursday, May 15th, operators continued to process jobs at the old facility. Starting the very next morning, through Sunday evening, every employee then helped move the business to the new location. During the move, operators still managed to complete over 40 critical jobs for Hi-Tech’s customers. Beginning Monday, May 19th, Hi-Tech was officially up and running in its new home.
During the transition, Hi-Tech went through over 15 NADCAP, OEM, and customer audits to successfully transition into the new facility with all of the approvals held at the previous facility. The move has allowed Hi-Tech to increase capacity in several processes, including plating, anodize, chem. film, NDT, and paint. In an effort to better service its customers, Hi-Tech has invested in larger 12 foot anodize and chem. film tanks, as well as, associated paint booths, ovens, and NDT equipment to accommodate the processing of larger parts. “We are most excited about our larger tanks and paint booths,” said Chad Leach, General Manager. “This reinvestment in our business gives us the capability and capacity to better service our aerospace customers and help reduce lead times by performing all of the processing under one roof.”
